Adalor (ad-a-loor)

Believed to have once been faeries visiting Ærethis who were trapped when the planes were cutoff, the Adalor are seen as magical and strange. The different subspecies look very distinct from each other as well as having different cultures. Unlike most other lineages, Adalor do not reproduce biologically. Being imbued with arcana, they are instantiated or created through emotion, imagination, and magic. The exact nature of this creation is different for each heritage and unknown to outsiders. All Adalor settlements are located in the Adalor Forest though there are emigrants and travelers in other lands.

Dwarf (dwharf)

On Ærethia, dwarves are a nomadic race that ranges from scavengers to pirates to fishermen. With their nomadic nature, they are one of the more common to become adventurers and soldiers. The subraces of dwarves are based on geography. Because they are all fairly similar, dwarves are roughly the same size and have a similar life expectancy. All dwarves are heavy with many being packed with muscle. Where once several small kingdoms that became united under a single ruler named Firebeard though when he died a power vacuum appeared and the ensuing inner conflict fractured them into the nomadic groups they are now.

Elf (ehlf)

Elves are the dominant species of Ærethia, particularly the Cloud Elves. The two subspecies are in the midst of a cold war with the Ember Sands being the only reason that outright war has not broken out.

Garasky (guh-raskee)

Garasky, often referred to as Giant-Kin are a group of very diverse cultures. They are grouped together due to their geographical location and their united front in a war against the true giants.

Human (hyu-muhn)

Once the dominant lineage of Ærethia, Humans were nearly made extinct during the Dragon Wars.

K'Zar (k-zar)

K'Zar are the most unusual of the civilized species on Ærethia. Their appearance is distinct and the males and females of their species live in different regions of the same kingdom.
