Dheir, still paranoid of a coming undeath at the hands of some other shambling creature she swore she heard stalk the darkness deeper in the halls, grabbed the torch she previously threw and tossed it further down the hall. She continued this as the hall u-turned and eventually brought her back to the others. She gave the all clear for that section, giving the group the chance to view murals that painted the wall centered between the two halls. * The first mural they could see depicted scenes from the Day of Embers, the destruction caused as mages fought dragons across the land, with a lone survivor left to observe the devastation before them. * The second presents the travels of ember-skinned elvanoids across a vast desert, refugees searching for a new home * The mural they viewed next seemed to show the founding of Darseem, as well as displaying Clerics in positions of great importance. * They do not know what the final mural would display, as it appeared shattered intentionally, pieces of it lay in rubble beneath where it would be. After having their fill of the art that still covered the walls, they went into a room off shooting the one they were in, finding a statue depicting a priest, incorporating the various elemental forces in the art. Air billowing the bottom of their robes as it stood on a base carved to look like water, they held a staff, flames wrapped around the tip. Finally, their cape slowly became rougher in form, changing from a carving of fine fabric into the rough, sharp forms of rock as it met the wall behind it. While they were unable to find anything, Cassian did note the statue had a faint abjuration aura via Detect Magic. After some time, they concluded the magic was more of a preservation type than anything more interesting to the adventurers. The proceeded past the murals down a different hallway, finding a room used to prepare the dead for burial (picking up a Blurred Dagger along the way). They then traversed a flight of stairs to another small room, in it another mural displayed the funeral of a priest, likely the Founder. On it, there were four smaller murals in circles surrounding it, these appeared to depict scenes from the other four murals they saw previously. Cassian's Detect Magic revealed the faint magics on them, they guessed the correct order and put their hands on them. Doing saw caused the wall to shift, revealing a room with a sarcophagus and a floating spirit above it. The party saw anger engraved deep into the ethereal form's face as it attacked them. At first the fight seemed to be going well for them, but then two shadowy forms aiding the spectre revealed themselves and attacked, draining some of Cassian's strength as he was hit. Back and forth continued with magic and steel striking at the spectral beings before them. In the end, the party rose victorious, banishing the creatures to some unknown place beyond life. A spectral figure appeared, hovering out of the sarcophagus, thanking the party for freeing to and allowing the group to take they wanted. It then disappeared, the party took some time to rummage within the sarcophagus, finding a shield made of silver, a golden crown, a crystal longsword, and the piece of the artifact they came for. After, they left the Tomb and began a long journey back to Darseem. Eventually, evening comes and the group settled in for the night at a location Saxon recommended. The night was uneventful, though Saxon did get the chance to see a meteor shower during their watch. Soon the dawn of the 17th of Istenarum came, While it was just another day for most of the group, Cassian could feel importance in the day, peering into his Sky Orb to find all three of Aerethia's moons are full, triggering an important period in his belief, \"Full Nights\". He explained to the group that he can not intentionally lie during this period, as all three moons light the world illuminating the darkness so that no truth can be hidden and no lies undetected. Saxon jumped at the chance to ask him who his favorite of the group is, which of course was Saxon themselves, as he feels they have a bit more in common with each other than he does with either Dheir or Xedran. The travel continued for hours, while not a lot happened, they did spy two Sha'rea undead shambling across the black sands towards the Founder's Tomb. Otherwise the group walked and walked, eventually Cass and Saxon ended up in a convesation about the origin of Pebble, the Emotionally Manipulative Space Goose, with Saxon firmly on the side of \"The egg was from me, I shat it out, Pebble is my child\" and Cass exasperated as he tried to explain, no the egg came from the sky and landed a ways from the group, while Pebble can be their adopted child, it's impossible to be biologically from Saxon. This argument went on long enough that the Slaugh of the group picked up their pace in an attempt to return to Darseem faster, not sure what will happen when they return the artifact piece to Bo'krylla and her revolution against the ruling class of clerics begins..."
